Meet Kieara Pittman LCSW #SW21898

Hey, Ya'll,

My professional career started in the United States Navy where I served for 8 years. During that time, I co-facilitated group therapy in a military substance abuse rehabilitation program.

Educationally, I have a BA in Human Services from Columbia College and an MSW (Master of Social Work) from the University of South Florida, with a concentration in clinical practice with individuals, families, and groups in agency or organization-based community practice settings.

My philosophy is simple, you are not perfect and that’s ok! My therapeutic approach is based on my educational, professional, and personal background. The treatment modalities I provide include Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These treatment modalities focus on combating maladaptive thought processes and core beliefs, identifying and accepting difficult emotions, incorporating healthier coping skills, and finding meaning and purpose in your life.

You are uniquely you, and my approach keeps that in mind!

I look forward to learning and growing more with you. Let’s do the work!
